I have a degree in International Business and have worked more than 30 years in the banking, insurance and land title industries. In 2007, I realized a lifelong dream — forming my own organizing/consulting business. With my company, SOS, I am able to put my lifetime skills to work for you!

A number of years ago, my husband, Jim, and I sold, gave away and donated almost everything we owned. We then travelled around the United States and Canada for several years in a 24-foot travel trailer. Planning, ingenuity and organization were crucial in creating this fantastic adventure! Even though we lived in very close quarters for nearly three years, I am happy to report that I am still married to the same wonderful man!

As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO®), my commitment is supported by NAPO®'s mission of implementing and teaching organizing skills and its Code of Ethics, which further guide my work ethic and business goals. Staying abreast of new products, industry trends and teaching methods through continual education keeps me on my toes and enhances your experience of working with me. I'm also a trained provider of NAPO® in the Schools, a voluntary community outreach program designed to teach age-appropriate organizing skills for grades 2 through 12.

My company name was chosen based on my personal philosophy of organizing and dealing with clutter, which is not only "stuff", but also data and schedule clutter.

Sensible represents my ideal of approaching clutter and disorganization. At an initial consultation, we will determine what your specific needs, hopes and ideas are, not necessarily what would satisfy me. These needs vary from person to person and at any given point in time. There actually is a benefit to having some "mess" in your life - it can reflect your creativity and personality.

Organizing does not mean "neat and tidy". It means finding something when you need it, and meeting your obligations on time. It is function more than looks. It is difficult and challenging for many people, but sometimes an "outsider" helps give you the boost you need.

Strategies help you take control and give you a procedure for sorting through all the clutter, all the "homeless" items, all the unmade decisions. At the initial consultation, I help develop a plan that reflects what you have communicated to me in the way of needs, preferences and learning styles. A project is broken down into small pieces, where we can then focus on one step at a time, ultimately creating the peace and clarity you are so desperately looking for. This is very personalized and set up in such a way that it can be maintained, with adjustments and tweaking, for your individual needs.

Organizing saves you time, money and provides peace and harmony in your home or office.
